Back from Toronto

Megen and I are back from Toronto. Loki stayed with Megen's parents who seemed to really enjoy having her around. No photos to share because I didn't really bring my camera around. I plan on insuring my DSLR soon so I can bring it more places without worrying about it.

The trip was easy and stress-free. We had no trouble or traffic getting into or out of Canada. Our room at The Sutton Place was upgraded to a king suite for free! The hotel was in a perfect location. We could walk easily to Bloor street (where we went to the museum and did some shopping) and Eaton Centre.

We had some delicious food in Chinatown and went to a great French restaurant (Bistro 990) right across the street from our hotel for dinner. I can't remember the last time we had good French food; and this was great.

Sleepy Loki

Those of you that only see Loki once in a blue moon probably don't believe what your eyes are seeing. Loki isn't always full of energy. When it's just Megen and I at home she ends up sleeping and cuddling most of the day.

Giving Blogger a Try

Updating Wordpress and Gallery2 can be difficult so I've decided to host our blog and photos elsewhere. I will be using my Flickr account for all of our photos and Blogger to host the blog. If things go well I'll probably switch my blog to use Blogger as well.

Megen hails from a diverse variety of cities which include Pittsburgh, Albany, and Rochester; she graduated cum laude from Case Western Reserve University in 2007 with bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Music. When not studying, Megen enjoys singing, playing with Loki, and watching marathons of America’s Next Top Model and Project Runway.

The Story

Ben and Megen met early on in their first year at Case Western Reserve University. Megen forgot all about this fateful meeting but now remembers Ben’s ridiculous costume. Ben happened to live in the same dorm where Michelle, Megen’s older sister, was a Learning Assistant. This meant Megen was seen throughout the halls; soon the two were officially introduced. Months later on February 9th 2004 Ben and Megen officially became a couple.

They visited Washington D.C. from August 24th through the 27th for a romantic, fun and, true to form, educational weekend. The weekend was full of trips to various museums, wonderful meals, a trip to the national zoo to see the Megen’s favorite animal, the panda, and their engagement. On the 25th Ben took Megen to a lovely garden in Virginia. He planned to propose on a gazebo in the middle of a lake but a loud family made it a less than ideal location. He proposed in an indoor portion of the garden with its own stream. And the rest is history!
